Bahia Feliz
is a relaxed resort seven kilometres north of Playa del Inglés.
The transfer time from the airport in Las Palmas is only 20
minutes.
It is a
small resort by Gran Canaria's standards, but still a very
popular resort.
The beach
The overall pebble beach is not one of Gran Canaria’s best. The
beach shelves steeply into the water and is less suitable for
small children.
The
beach is often breezy and ideal for windsurfing. The resort even
has a windsurfing school.
Restaurants and nightlife
The center of the town offers a good selection of
restaurants and pavement cafés.
Nightlife in
Bahia Feliz is very laid back and the entertainment is mainly
hotel based.
For those
seeking livelier places, Playa del Inglés is less than a ten
minutes away in a taxi. The bars, clubs and discos of Playa del Inglés party all night long.
Activities
Bahia Feliz is a very relaxed resort and does not offer a
lot of activities. Most of the people visiting Bahia Feliz
consider this as one of the main strengths of the resort.
However, staying
in Bahia Feliz 'Garbo' Dinner Show' is a must. Garbo's is a
large theatre, with a 1920's setting, that offers a three course
meal and a show with singing and dancing. The show is claimed to
be the only dinner show of its kind in Gran Canaria. Tickets are
available locally.
