Patalavaca lies just north of
Arguineguin on the
south coast of Gran Canaria. However, in practice the two
resorts have grown into one.
Patalavaca is a little, but rather quiet and
peaceful resort. Most of the hotels in Patalavaca have three or
four stars and there is a good selection of restaurants.
Close to Patavalaca lies the luxurious Anfi
del Mar, an impressive Norwegian timeshare complex with over 800
apartments, private marina, shopping-center, activity center
etc.
Beaches in Patalavaca
Patavalaca has its own small beaches, but there are two good
alternatives to them.
Either you can go to the main beach in
Arguineguin or you can walk 10 minutes along the coastal path,
to the beach of Anfi del Mar. This man made beach is covered
with the finest white sand, imported directly from the Bahamas.
It is a very shallow beach, perfect for children. One of the

Restaurants and nightlife
With Patalavaca's size in mind, the selection of restaurants is
rather impressive. You find even more restaurants within walking
distance in Arguineguin.
Nightlife is very relaxed in Patavalaca. There
are some bars and a little entertainment at some of the hotels.
Those who want a livelier nightlife can find it in Puerto Rico
which is about 10 minutes away in a taxi.
Activies
From the neighboring resort Arguineguin, boats depart to Puerto
Rico, from which they sail further to the beautiful resort
Puerto de Mogán.
The biggest market in Gran Canaria is held every Tuesday morning
in Aguineguin.
